No inertia switch or fuel switch--fuses or relays ---to test the fuel pump easiest is to spray starter fluid if it fires you have a fuel problem if doesn't fire look into ignition [ spark]

Why car my car start?

No spark? Then there is probably no signal to trigger the spark. Possible causes:
1) Cam position sensor.
2) Crank position sensor (you replaced it)
3) Coils (already replaced)
3) Wiring and connections to and from coils (bad grounding points or bad live feeds)

Suggestion: Stop the guessing and spending with "probable" causes. Have the car scannned for error codes and start from scratch according to error codes.

Sonata engine cranking but not firing

Proceed like this :
(1) Check the fuel flow , could be problem of fuel pump.
(2) Check the camshaft and crank shaft position sensor , there must MIL light glowing because of it. If yes , The Camshaft Position sensor is typically located in the cylinder head of the engine and has a cylindrical portion that inserts into the head. The Crankshaft Position sensor is normally located in the timing cover or on the side of the block with a cylindrical portion that inserts into the block.
If No, fuel pump could be the only problem.

My 2004 hyundai sonata will not crank. It turns over but won't catch.

check to see if getting spark or fuel if no spark could be crank sensor or cam sensor have to check voltage out of wiring harness if low voltage ecm bad. Pull both coil wires off coil and have someone turn ignition no spark probably ecm. For fuel check number one plug see if wet and also listen when you turn key for fuel pump. If driving it just died on ya and battery went dead like know and you tried jumping or replacing battery.Still would not start ecm bad.

Cranks but wont start

May have dirt on crank angle sensor ,loose/damaged. Located usually close to bottomf pulley on engine.. Remember to keep it simple and check for the obvious first (fuel/pump? is emergency shut off tripped accidentally from towing ? Turn ignition on and have someone listen at fuel neck for pump operation. Check all fuses.

Cranks but wont turn over

you know. i took it to a mechanic and actually.... The timing belt cut the Crank Shaft Censor... So it was the crank shaft censor again. The wires were routed wrong from the first mechanic that "fixed" the car.
