Fan stops and starts intermittenly

Change the spark plug wires cap and rotor.

Sounds like the vehicle sensor ,not the range sensor..This sensor controls the speedometer plus lets the computer know how to shift the gears

Might want to start with checking your stop lamps & the fuse for the stop lamps.

The shift interlock is part of the stop lamp circuit on the 97-03 MY trucks, and without working stop lamps, the truck does not come out of park,

Not too sure what you mean by cab lights, is this the interior dome lamps or the instrumentation illumination ?

Look under the dash at the switch by your brake pedal. This switch must work for the gearshift to come out of Park. It is also the reason your brake lights do not work.

There is an electric lockout on the gearshift and the power comes from the brake light switch. This is how the van knows you have your foot on the brake.
The switch may be broke or simply loose and not making contact.

clutch is broke need new clutch ..........expensive parts plus labour?

check the switch on the brake pedal.it may be cracked and not sending power to the interlock solenoid,and there may be a short,which will blow the fuse.check the wiring around the rear lights and make sure the harness has not been rubbing on sharp metal

I ran into this problem with my 95GMC about two months ago. It was intermitten and then hard failed. I changed out the switch that is operated by the brake pedal with operates your brake lights and allows you to shift into gear. $9 later the problem was solved

Try turning the key to 1st position (Unlock)
Shift to neutral to start vehicle and then shift to Drive
