Hello, took my car for emissions test and fail with the following codes. p0101,p0171,p0174,p0300.

well go back and ask for proper print out of what the emmisions readings are ,i cannot beleave that a vehicle test station can fail a vehicle and not tell you what the emmisions readings are but give you a lot of useless p numbers ,dont they put a probe up the exhaust and test it properly ,They would have field day trying to test europeon cars here in europe with all the encrypted software used on vehicles here and the vehicle shutting its self down with the immobilisor and throwing out code p whatever for illegal access to the ECU.any way try changing the lambada sensors as i think that this is what code P171 and 174 refer too

Engine light came on, code po410 came up.

This has to do with the secondary air pump system, this system is used at cold start-up and involves three components; air pump, solenoid valve and a relay. Many times the valve becomes stuck or clogged, the relay has also been known to fail.

Evaporative system fail of emmisions test

you need it diagnosed. I assume you failed because the light was on and a code was stored. You have several components that could of set this code. We could guess and if we changed every component to address it and the light still came back on it would be a bummer if it turned out to be a broken vacuum line or something

1996 jimmy failed an emission test

Did you change the air filter. The fuel filter will have no impact on emmision's but the air filter is a very common problem. If you usually drive it at low rev.'s then before you send it for emmisions test you will need to put it in a low gear and floor it for about a mile the reason is when it is being tested the engine is reved up to around 3500 rpm and any build up of unburned fuel or oil in the exhaust system will put up the emmisions reading.

Failed emmisions test..

I am in Virginia but I believe you vehicle is showing a monitors not ready for Catalyst & Evap. If that is correct you need to basically drive the car a few days. The computer will remonitor itself and should be fine following that. Most drive cycles require highway driving & city driving. Make sure you turn on a/c as well. Its not how many miles you drive but what conditions you drive that sets you monitors. You could locate the drive cycle and attempt to replicate it but its usually very difficult drive exactly as the cycle asks. Good luck.

Code PO410

there is a TSB re: PO410 code, it is your air pump, you need to replace pump and other items, hose, cover filter. You will not pass insp. You may cause damage to cat and inturn burn out your intake plenum if you don't fix it.. cheaper to fix right. recomend reman. pump, save you alot of $.
