I purchased a hyundai scoupe ls 93 rear wheel thumping noise louder when driving slower, what could it be?

These are the same bolt patterns, bolt pattern is 4 X 4.5 or also known as 4 X 114MM. Measure 2 lugholes across from each other and it should measure 4 1/2" US or 114MM. the center hubs may be smaller/larger. Check the center hub size before purchasing:

something is rubbing underneath by tires or maybe a bad axle or ball joint or wheel bearing,could even be a stuck caliper,you will have to look at your tires on backside to check your ball joints,

Without testing the vehicle myself, I would guess it may be the drums (rear brakes) are out of round. If you have replaced them with after market they have likey come from the factory out of round.
The other simple answer is that you have cord seperation in the tires.

Does the steering wheel shake/wobble between 5-15 MPH? If so, the tires have cord/casing issues.

More info would be helpful.

You may have a bad computer (this happens sometimes) from whomever you bought it from. It may just need a reflash (Usually companies will do this for free) or just exchanged.

check wheel bearings if turning left it gets louder check right side bearings and so on

if the noise isassociated with "wheel speed" then it is in the rolling parts... axle hub bearing brake rotor caliper wheel or tires...if it goes away on right turns then you are unloading or separating the issue then...so a hub /wheel bearing /axle issue is most likely...does your brake pedal pulse when you feel it..(riding the brake while driving)..does the steering wheel shimmy ?

You probably have a bad wheel bearing or bad tire on left front. when making right turn left front wheel wil spin faster than right making noise louder.
