would still need a bit more info like vehicle make, model, year, to give a more precise answer, but in general if post 1996 i would recommend getting the OBDII codes read as a starting point , if pre 1996 the OBD is not as comprehensive but would still be the best starting point , good luckwould still need a bit more info like vehicle make, model, year, to give a more precise answer, but in general if post 1996 i would recommend getting the OBDII codes read as a starting point , if pre 1996 the OBD is not as comprehensive but would still be the best starting point , good luck

Would need a scan tool to diagnose , if you knew what DTC - diagnostic trouble code was stored , you mite be able to fix it . A part store may be able to pull code or codes . What vehicle do you have ? year , make , model ?
If your vehicle is a Ford the P1000 means emission system diagnostic is not ready, & P1151 means you have an emission system problem. You will need to determine and fix the problem causing the P1151 before the P1000 code will clear. The P1000 code requires several driving/operating conditions be met before it will clear.
great question, how to fix.
verbs and all.
ok, a/t or m./t ( auto or stick:?)
toss coil and land (A/T)>
the shifter, is a lever.
the shifter connects to a cable
the cable connects to the transmission.
not sure what broke means, the lever fell off car?
or it wont shift. or is stuck , try to say what broken means.
but to fix it depends on which if the 3 parts are bad.
or if its park lock out feature, locking you in park.
you don`t say what you mean by fixing it do you mean adjust it or there is a problem that you think can be fixed. these are not fixable they only are replaceable. to adjust you loosen the holding screws/bolts and move the switch until the car starts only in park or neutral then tighten.
When you keep changing fuses you are not fixing the problem. Fuses blow because there is excessive current draw for that circuit and that means a dead short. That means burnt wires . That means other wires are affected and other problems show up. Have an accredited auto electrician fix the fault
going to need more infor.for this .it could be a range of thing .your best bet would be call to shop in ur area and see if they will diagnose it for free .we do at are shop.
