the filter is located right above the front differential on drivers side on the engine if it is a 5.4. If it is a 4.6 then they put the filter in front of the drivers front wheelwell , adapter lines are ran from where the filter is on a 5.4

Good Evening, the oil filter on the 4.6l if you are underneath just to the drivers side passed the pulleys and such if you look up to the engine block you will see it. Hope this helps.
make sure all the wires were connected back to the battery there is a red wire that sits by itself and when you disconnect the battery it tends to fall also check the alternator circuit breaker could be blown.
