hi could be a couple of things, first loss of fuel pressure would cause this so check fuel pump is working, check or replace fuel filter. Secondly if you have ruled out dirty fuel or a fuel prob it could also be the throttle position sensor which when worn make the computer not know what position the throttle is at causing it to stall, hope this helps as a starting point
TURN OFF RADIO.DISCONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.REMOVE THE INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE CONNECTOR.REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE AND DUCT.REMOVE THE CONNECTORS AND TERMINAL FROM STARTER.THEN YOU REMOVE STARTER PUT EVERYTHING BACK VISA VERSA.
sounds like the rev limiter is kicking in to keep the engine from over rev damage, there should be a way to get the limiter disabled or perhaps get the turbo building boost sooner.
o2 would not cause this neither would the fuel filter, a clogged fuel filter would cause much the opposite. try reving the engine by the throttle body and pay attention to the throttle body, alot of throttle bodys start to wear and actually lock up slightly open, this would cause the throttle position sensor to read as if you were accelerating even though the pedal is at its rest position. seen this alot on nissan altimas 200-2005, cheers
Right on the top of the mass air intake where the air cleaner attaches. It has a small host running toward the front of the engine and two screws to remove it. Try cleaning it before replaceing it.
