My car Lumina 2001 and owned the radio code but how Enter the code on the radio

AM radio is gone with the wind Cheryl,have to be home and play with antenna,remember them days,the 70's,lol.

I forget radio code how I get back this code please inform me

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Chevrolet service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

does the radio say locked or 10 if so the radio is locked....ignition on position 1 hold button 5 for 10 seconds you should now get one final attempt at the radio code,BEWARE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT CODE THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE.........

Please take this to the dealer as the radio codes cannot be given without an ID and to check the vin against the radio for theft. sorry They will do it but you have to take it to them, it's for your own protection.

someone (hopefully you) set the 3 or 4 digit security code on the radio. when power is disconnected, like if someone steals your radio, the radio locks and cannot be used. the code can be from 000 to 1999. the hour and minute buttons are used to enter the numbers. 2000 choices - good luck
to unlock the system:
1 turn on ignition - LOC will appear
2 press MN and '000' will appear
3 press MN again until you see the last 2 digits of the code you want to try
4 press HR until you see the first 1 or 2 digit of the code you want to try
5 press AM FM
6 SEC will appear if you got it right - LOC will show if you got it wrong

call 1888mitsu2001, choose option #4, then hit * (star). give the operator the last 8 numbers in your vin and they will provide the radio code for FREE!

DO NOT PAY FOR THE CODE ONLINE OR GO TO THE DEALER (they will also charge you).

- you will also need to provide the serial and part number of your radio (takes about 5 minutes to take apart an eclipse dash...1 screw in the bottom of the HVAC panel) if you call the 1888mitsu2001 it will provide basic instructions on how to accomplish this.

- if your radio says "off" (meaning you entered the wrong code too many times) you need to put your key in the ignition and turn it to ACC mode for approx. 45min - 1hr and then your radio will say "code" at which point you can enter the code to unlock the radio.

Put the key in the ignition and set it to "accessory" setting and leave it there for about 45 minutes.
After that remove the key and put it back in and you should be able to enter the code again.

you need to leav it off for 24 hours then try again

to enter your code when the cd player displays error leave cd player switched on and after 20 mins or so i will display 0000 then you will be able to enter your code this happens when some 1 has entered the wrong code
