Should go right in place , may have to use the 2000 mounting plates and u bolts however. Also may have to flash the computer to get the speedometer recalibrated depending upon if the gears have a different gear ratio.

SOURCE: 1999 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4. Replacing rear pad's,& Bleeding Breaks

have one person in the blazer pumping the brake pedal and then hold to the floor, crack the bleeder then tighten, release pedal, repeat till all air is out one side at a time, if this does not work then your ABS unit is bad witch if u follow your lines from your master cylinder u will find a black box with a motor on it, or the master cylinder itself is bad, it also can cause u to have no pedal, replace the master cylinder first, most likely cheaper.

SOURCE: How do you replace the brake lines for a 1996 Chevy S10 Blazer

You have the best diagram right on your car! follow the original lines to replace them. (you can change routing a little with no problems, just make sure they dont interfere with anything and that they are secure so they don't rub through and fail again!

SOURCE: gear ratio

There are two different ratios for a S10 Blazer,a 3.42(GU6) and a 3.08(GU4).Look in your glove box for a GM option codes.Look for a GU6 or GU4 code for the type of ratio you have.Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Fix chevy 2000 S10 parking brake.

Some times the rotors are hard to remove.(rust) Just soak it with wd40 and use a big hammer or prybar. Try smacking it around the studs, But don't hit them. If you smack the part of the rotor that the regular service brake rides on you will warp the rotor. Just keep trying, you'll get it. Also if you mess up the rotor they really aren't that expensive to replace. Plus your old one is likely wore out anyways.

SOURCE: need diagram for brake lines 1998 s10 blazer

If you aren't experienced with brakes you should see a mechanic. With metering valves, proportioning valves, ABS accumulators and other variables they need a trained eye. A master cylinder could be leaking into the vacuum system and not visible. Sometimes a wet backing plate can identify a leaky wheel cylinder. Portions of the line are rubber hoses. Even parts that are not leaking may be damaged and causing problems elsewhere.

Will a 1996 chevy blazer LS 4wd differential fit into a 2000 chevy blazer LS rwd rear end ?

Measure the lenth of both rear ends. see iss all hardware will bolt up without fabrication. if its the same size it will work. But im afraid being a 4 wheel drive it will be geared lower then a regular pick up/ Drive shaft may work but if not it would have to be shortened or lenghthebed. alot of work. Brakes you could leave the non drum breaks on better stopping power. I honestly believe you would be better off just going to a scrap yard and find one very easy to remove and replave few hour job.

I have a 1997 chevy blazer that has a brake fluid leak just underneath passenger rear seat on drivers side and cannot find how to see what the heck is leaking what is the best procedure to figure out what...

you most likely have a brake line rusted threw, cut the line ahead of the leak and after the leak and splice in a new piece of brake line, it will have to be steel, you can not use rubber. if you take the line to a parts store they can size it up and get you a piece of steel line and some pressure fittings to put it back together, after you repair the line then you will need to bleed the rear brakes.

My blazer is leaking fluid from the right rear tire area . and i hear a strange knocking from my rear end

The leaking could be from your brake line, can you tell what color the fluid is and the texture? is is slippery or feels more like water? If it is brake fluid leaking that means you have a broke or busted line or a caliper/brake cylinder leaking which needs to be fixed quickly.

I have a 2000 chevy blazer. had to short fix left rear brake line with hose and clamps. bled air from that side, brakes were soft in the pedal. checked right rear for any air had none. brakes still feel...

do not drive the vehicle. remove the hoze. replace it with steel line. rubber hoses are not meant for the high pressures of brake lines. it is expanding when you press the brake pedal. very unsafe.

How to remove a 2000 dodge ram rear end

Unhook your dive shaft from the rear end. Take your U bolts of off your springs. Make sure that you disconnect the break lines from the rear axle. remove your shocks. It should be free at this point. In stubborn cases, you may have to put a small jack in between the frame and axle and apply very light pressure. Hope this helps.
