Yes that is correct. The only filter is inside the fuel tank, and as I recall its a non exchangeable filter. It just gets replaced with the fuel pump when it goes bad

Yeah whenever you have the chance try to Prime the filters and bleed and purging should be a spot on there where you can bleed the air off if you run out of fuel or changing filters and whatnot so you can always go on Google you know tell the manufacturer year and find out on Google or maybe the manual in the glove box

Volvo is a good car. if you maintain you volvo by changing the oil on time, maybe after every month according to how you drive and changing you fuel filter, using 93 grade fuel or 89. I advice you to keep your volve. do your oil change on time don't wait until three to five months before changing your oil and don't use poor fuel (87) grade. change your tranmission oil after 18 months then your volvo is yours for life.
The fuel filter can be located under the carpeted cargo storage floor at the rear of the wagon. Remove the four 10mm bolts, remove the cover. You will then see a removeable plate to the right just behind the rear passenger seat. Fuel filter can be seen through hole in hole. Replaced from underneath wagon. Be sure to make sure lines are fully inserted onto filter. Check for leaks. No smoking, extinguisher handy. Note arrow on filter for correct fuel flow.
