Hatch closes tight then opens

You need the dealership for stuff like that. It's a Saab.

Make sure your hatch or trunk is closed tightly. Open them and close them again also check all doors are closed tightly

HIt the unlatch button twice, sometimes three times. As it was explained to me
it has to be tight in the winter so it doesn't fly up in the summer. You could also try cleaning the damper rods on either side of the hatch, and make sure that the
mounts for them are still tight. It's the nature of the beast.

The better solution is to fix the hatch so it closes tightly. The latch hooks on to an adjustable loop. The hatch closes on to the rubber seal: if this is damaged, fix or replace. There may be some adjustable rubber bump stops as well. Lastly, check that the door ajar sensor is not loose.

The switch on the latch is more then likely stuck. If you can see it spray it with some electrical cleaner and open and shut the hatch a few times.

sounds like your hatch lock is not adjusted tight enough. My guess is your computer sees the hatch open and shuts down the fuel pump. find the locking bar where the hatch lock engages the van body, loosen the screws and push it in--hold in while you tighten screws. Sorry, I would send a picture but I don't have a manual for your car. If this doesn't work, you might need to adjust the switch in the door so it stick out more and gets pushed further by the hatch when closed.

Sounds like either the hatch is not closed completely or the switch is says the door is still open. verify if the door is shut tight.

The lock is stuck in the "locked" position.
When you close the hatch, it is jamming the latch hook into the wrong area.

Manually open the hatch. Unlock the hatch (even tho the hatch is already open). there are two bolts holding the metal "loop", the loop has moved. Adjust the metal loop and close the hatch / lock it, etc.

Try taking the battery out of your remote to see if it just still sending the signal????? You might have to clean your remote with contact cleaner. Also check the latch to make sure nothing is in the way of the latch????
