SOURCE: car window wipers are messed up
from what I have read, it is the crank arm park tab that has been bent or broken off, sometimes happens when wipers are forced to go over some snow or ice. drivers side wiper, open hood and remove any coverage over the wiper motor, have someone run the wipers so you can see where the tab is supposed to be, if bent, just bend it back to a position where the crank arm comes down and hits it. supposed to work, again, from what I have read.

Unplug wire connector at wiper motor and test light with switch on, if power to plug most likely wiper motor shot, if no power to plug than its switch.

Same thing happened to my drivers side. I have a 1999 Ford Explorer XLT. Mechanic found a broken wire in the wiring boot that runs from the door to the body. Spliced wire back together. Fixed the problem.
