Can anyone tell me how to set a MB E320 (W211) Yr2002 clock to Australian time?

This car has the MB COMAND system (which also sets the dash clock) but Australia does not appear in the country list, nor does any other country in our zone of longitude (time). Even when I set the time manually, as soon as a GPS satellite is within view, it uses that time but I cannot apply a 10 hours offset for Eastern Australian Standard Time (+10 hours) This vehicle was sold new in Australia so surely it should be able to be set on our time?Driving me nuts - have tried every possible button and key sequence.

That video is not for an E320 so not much help. Thanks for trying, though.

Hello John Mobbs,

Your COMAND system will (should) actually determine your time zone using your GPS ...

The best video for "COMMAND" IS (sadly a USA video) immediately below ...

http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/owners/videos/year-2011/class-GL_Class/model-All/videoId-fc2eab43c4d8b210VgnVCM1000007c184335RCRD

(also at the VERY BOTTOM)..
Ignition must be on but NOT with engine running.

I think YOUR difficulties are coming from "daylight savings time"
(some of our "Auto Engineer" programmers are still having problems grasping the GLOBAL nature of our world (round)...

Time change: would that I could ask... (my PC shows you should be "AEST")

"STANDARD" time... Is that when your trouble started?

Although I have not found your "COMAND" Manual (still looking (pretty interesting)) ... I am a clock freak... I sincerely believe you can set your "daylight savings"
option first... and your clock should THEN show you your desired

AEST (east Australian) or Vladivostok (also GMT =10), should already be selected... your only concerns seem to be if you want to use the (sundial TYPE weird-oh option to adjust from east coast to the edge of your "TIME-ZONE" ...

((ignore all that... just notes to myself... I still going to look for a Witten copy of your COMMAND manual... Clocks are a personal interest))... Good luck.

Comment me back if the 2005 video helps... (still looking).

My mercedes 2007 s 550 cd says cd error after cd is scan

If you take your car to a MB dealer, they can do a test of the CD system. Unfortunately, the few times that I have seen this problem, it has required replacement of the VERY expensive COMAND module.

Which fuse is the cigaret lighter fuse in a 2003 e320. the cigaret lighter is not working

Engine compartment (left side), fuse #1 and #6. In MB cigar lighter only works when key is on.

I think you have a W211 if it's a sedan. W210 only goes thru 2002.

Also check the lighter filament. It may just be burned out.

2003 MB E320 Sedan - how do you change the time on the clock?

kavtrom to reset the clock you use the instrument cluster by navigating the steering wheel multi function keys untill cluster states settings-after you have set the time while the instrument cluster multi function screen is still at the clock settings you have to press the the reset button/dimmer knob on left side of instrument cluster and the clock will go backwards until 9-10 oclock and then will forward itself to the correct time

E320 Electrical issu

Hi there;

I understand you have lost the use of the driver controled electrical in your E320. I have been through this before.
These cars have many, many, many, electrical controlers(computors). It sounds like youare having an issue with the drivers door controler, this is the controler that processes all of the comands from the drivers seat. What happens is, when you turn on your lights the comand confuses the controler it can only "think" about that one comand & it forgets all about the other commands.
The best way to tell if this is indeed the issue is to locate the fuse block under the hood directly in front of the driver. Find fuse #16, remove this fuse for about 1 min. then reinstall it. this should "reboot" that computer. This is basicly the same thing as disconnecting the battery only you are isolating the drivers door computer. If thisa works you will have everything working again untill you turn your lights on again. Also if this works you will need to have the drives door computor replaced to correct the issue. This not a cheep fix but unfortunately the only one.

Good luck, I hope this helps.
Farrout!

Adjust clock

The clock has to be set through the comand unit/radio. Push the SERV button on the comand, then go to SETTINGS, then TIME AND DATE. and set the time and date, *note* you will probably have to drive the car to pick up sattilites. and gps position.
