SOURCE: i have a 2000 lincoln continental and the alarm
yes there is but unfortunately if it is a stock system I believe it has to be done at the dealer, but also if you car battery is getting weak even if it shows no symptoms of failer yet the car alarm will be the first to show problems,so to save some money have the battery and charging system checked first and also replace the battery in the key fob(remote)if all of this checks out then you may want to take it to a Lincoln/ford dealer.hope this helps
SOURCE: Can the sensitivity for the alarm system be adjusted
It has to be adjusted at the alarm brain, some systems can be done through the alarm remote but most are done at the brain depending what kind of alarm it is. Find out what kind of alarm u have then take the vehicle to your dealer or a car audio shop so that they can locate the brain and turn down the sensitivity, if not then write back and Ill guide u through.
Good luck.
SOURCE: My alarm keeps going off
Hello, Shorted Batteries can cause this problem. You need to have the battery tested. If you have an add on Alarm, some have motion sensors that are too sensitive.
If you have Air suspension on the car, the pump may be going off to keep the car level. When this happens, you have a leak somewhere in the Air suspension system.
SOURCE: rav4 alarm sensitivity
No there is no such adjustment. The system has a faulty part, likely a door latch anti tamper switch that is affected by the cool temperatures at night. You will need to contact the dealer for testing and diagnosis
