With screwdriver would work, but you will destroy the lock latch.

nope. I did not use screw driver to open the panel. I just removed the top case from gear nob with gentle push. And open the center piece with my fingers.

How do I fix Center Display screen mounted on the Dashboard?

This not a DIY job. The display is a computer drive device and even if you knew the problem you can't buy parts to fix it. Check online for facilities that repair the center solid state control touch screen. You must send it out for repair.

With the key in the ignition turned enough to engage the system and turn on the navigation system's control panel in the center of the console. Hit the "menu" button, go to the navigation part of the menu like you were going to input a trip, and there you will see the "clock" button.

My 2008 Tribeca also uses excessive oil

That is surprising and I'm sorry to read of your troubles. We have an 05 Legacy 2.5i with 68k+ miles and plugging along good so far......

I don't know what state you're in but there should be a lemon law applicable to the problem you're having. You're obviously under 3yr/36k manufacturer warranty. If I were you I'd formally request repair of the problem and not accept test/diagnosis without action. Sounds like you're getting a run around......
