Code p 0522 refers to engine oil pressure sensor/switch---low voltage === causes --wiring short to ground ---engine oil pressure sensor/switch---ECM
any reference to oil pressure warnings should be taken seriously as a destroyed engine is a result of inaction
first get it to an accredited service shop that handles your make of vehicle and have the oil pressure checked with a mechanical gauge
if it not a pump/ oil level problem , replace the sensor

Codes po171 and po522 on my dash board

P0171 Fuel system lean bank 1, P0522 Engine oil pressure/switch circuit low voltage. Take care of the P0522 get the oil pressure check out first. As for P0171 that can be from a vacuum hose leak from false air.Worn out sparkplugs. To a contaminated MAF(mass air flow sensor).Lean bank is a easy fix but low oil pressure get that look at.

My jeep liberty 2004 3.7 . Is showing these code`s... po300 , p0522 , po335...and I find she`s hard to start....why...

there appears to be a problem with your crank position sensor and your oil pressure switch.

  • The crank position sensor or its connection is probably at fault. The engine needs the signal that the crank postion sensor provides to inject fuel and supply spark at the correct time.

Reset check engine light for a 2001 chev silverado with 4.3

Unhook the negative side of the battery for 15 minutes and it will forget the code and relearn all parameters. It'll run and shift a little funky until it relearns. If your radio has a factory code lock, be sure to write that down before you unhook the battery or the radio won't work.

Engine lite on two codes p0440 p0522 what are

p0440-Evaporator Emissions Control Malfunction. P0522- Engine Oil pressure low. Replace the Gas cap and double check your engine oil level to make sure your not low. Reset the computer and see if the codes return. If your oil level is good when you check it you may have a problem with your oil pump.

No oil pressure "05 dodge ram 4.7L engine

I'm assuming you checked the obvious...and no blue smoke.

Was that from an OBD error code reading?
    P0522-ENGINE OIL PRESSURE TOO LOW 3.7L, 4.7L

Could be you ran engine low on oil or went up (down?) incline to trip the low pressure sensor.

and or Viscosity of oil is too thin, in either case get oil changed pronto, reset OBD and check levels often. hopefully was a costly mistake ...yet.

Your sensor could be damaged. Keep an eye on engine temp and coolant. pressure test cooling system if possible.

    Good luck
