Actuator in trunk disconnected or Brocken

look in fuse panel find window relay and or fuse replace. then disconect battery for 30 secs to reset computer.

Call your local GM, Chevrolet, Cadillac, dealer and ask for a light cover for the trunk light!

go in thru the trunk and see if it is loose, if not then the speaker is blown, remove the speaker and see if a local junk yard has a similar one

call the dealer and ask. If not then you need to change the trunk shocks.

Get some flexible (not solid core) single core electrical cable of a slightly smaller diameter to the drain hole and ease it into the drain hole. Don't force it just gently ease it in. If that doesn't work you can sometimes use an airline to blow it out.

Check fuse.. Test for power to trunk release solenoid. When door button, or remote trunk release button is pushed. If there is power ( use a 12 volt test light ) most probably faulty release . Hope this helps

I had the same problem with my 2003 CTS. It seems it is a factory fault. The two struts that hold the lid up had no gas inside. You will need to have them replaced. About $80.
