2002 S320 w210. Where can I get an alternator (wiring) diagram?

It sounds like the fuse went out.

The cigarette lighter fuse is either 2 or 5 in the main fuse box.

You can buy the fuses at Autozone, and often if you ask nicely they'll replace them for you.

Hey Anon, What RPM are you checking the "at battery" voltage... Rev the engine to about 3000 RPM,, you should get 13.5+ volts.. if not, while running >> CAREFULLY<< try disconnecting and reconnecting the terminal at the alternator,,, this sometimes "excites" the alternator and makes it start charging again..

their are some electrical issues with s320 throttle valve electric failure --coil pack failure -- check fuses and relays then check battery and connections and try to start with boost if starts check and test battery and alternator --and check the wiring connections for loose , frayed , damaged ,and corrosion the following link are some of the problems acossiated with your vehicle

umm you can go back to mb dealer service desk with yer registration and DL. which is proof of ownership. they should give you the code free of charge.my recent w210 has same problem after disconnect n reconnect the battery terminal. good luck

wires run direct to alternator from battery ,test big lead for a permanant 12v supplyon the back of the alternator if you have one then the problem is either the brushes worn out or the commutator worn through.or the regulator either way its a recon unit as parts are not sold seperate anymore as not many dealer mechanics know how to repair anything and the spares shops make more profit on a unit than parts so they do not sell spares to stop people like me and you from doing our own repairs
