What type of power steering fluid & capacity for 1985 ford e350?

On yours, you can use atf but power "steering fluid" works just as well.. steering fluid is used as a specific requirement on later vehicles and if you use it in the 85, you can use the leftover to top off anything you have that is newer. (can't do that with atf)

Ford econoline 350 87 i need to change

the only difficult part is catching all the fluid, i would recommend doing the filter while your at it it is extremly easy, if you can change your oil you can do a filter and a gasket,
one recomendation though put the bolts through the holes in the pan and through and the gasket before you put the pan on the gasket will hold the bolts in place and you wont have to try and line up the rubber gasket to the holes lying upside down under your van

F-350 chassis - Motor Home

Ford reccommends Type F,but in my opinion,Type F or Mercon varnishes quickly.I've been rebuilding Ford's auto's for 19 years, and have found Dexron 2 or 3 works just dandy.Mixing the two fluids won't harm anything. The biggest thing is DO NOT use any kind of trans stop leak which contains brake fluid.
