If you are getting sound and picture from the screen's auxiliary jacks, then this only confirms that the screen is faulty. The DVD player must be reading the picture signal as it supplying the auxiliary jacks, but the screen has failed to display the signal.
There really isn't anything you can do yourself, other than cleaning the lens using a cd/DVD player lens cleaning disk. Also check that the disks you are using are clean and free of scratches. If the player still doesn't work right, you will have to get it serviced at the dealer. Some electronics repair shops will also service these players, but you will have to remove it from the vehicle yourself. Hope this helps. Good luck.
first check to see if the dvd slipped into the player incorrectly.. my child inserted a dvd into the player. it went onto of the slot.. i took a butter knife to slip the dvd out, of course messed up the dvd but was able to get it out.. if not you can open up the player and get it out not very hard. hope this helps good luck
