Possibly 5 to 6 hours labor . The dash may have to come out to get at it. The part itself is $43.00 to $109.00 Go on line tohttp://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/toyot...

Your evaporator core needs to be replaced .

Testimonial: "Help please! A had a friend doing the ball joints, tune up, front end, calipers and shoe pads. After he finished the break was hard as a rock and it wasnt breaking at all. He took it back several times, he replaced the master cylinder. Now the break it is not as hard as it was. I can eventually stop, when I put it on reverse and while I have the break pedal all the way down the truck is going as fast as 10-15 miles. Engine light is on and it reads the mass flow sensor is bad, break light is on, and neither one were on before. What to do? I had spend over a thousand dollars on parts and labor, needs tires still. And I dont know anyone else and shops aré unaffordable for me."

My ac is not working properly cold air only blows thru 2 vents the other 2 only air but not cold...put freon and wasnt a solution...

If you put the can freon in you probably did not equal out the high side as well. The gauge on the can freon won't help you. You need the professional gauges to get it right. Sounds weird but That's what happens on GM's when the pressure is not correct for the ambient temp.

1997 Nissan 4 cylinder truck AC works excellent throwing snowballs cold air, then it will blow hot air. Relay switch and clutch has been replaced....Did not fix problem!

sounds like compressor isn't working properly or heater vacuum is opening vent to heater core.try turning on ac and if it cuts on and off repeatedly every few seconds the freon level is not correct or high pressure switch may not be working make sure radiator fan comes on when ac is on.if all this is working properly check vacuum hoses to heater may be opening vent doors to heater.hope this helps

AC/heater vent only blow out hot air

that switch controls a vacuum operated door that lets a/c or heat thru.when accelerating, the vacuum in the engine changes so it sound like a vacuum issue.take apart the center stack and there is a vacuum actuator in there connected to the flap door .i have seen those have issues with the metal tab broken away from the plastic that moves it.is the a/c piping cold under the hood where it goes into the heater a/c assembly?the compressor should be cycling on and off and the pressure tested.

Ac not cooling well - noticed 2 days ago steam coming out of ac vents.

That was probably not steam but escaping freon coming from the vents. Probably the best course of action would be to take it to an AC repair shop.

Ac dont blow cold air, freon on green color

the vent from the heater is stuck in the open position causing it to close the a/c vent.

97 Ford Econoline air conditioning and vent settings blowing hot

I know from experience that if the coolant is to low ( not just the freon levels in the compresor but the antifreeze/coolant level as well) the AC system will not cool and will blow hot. Check the coolant Antifreeze and freon levels, even with the Coolant being a little low my 1998 Ford E150 Van will blow hot. After you have ruled out of these possibilities and the chance it is the thermostat most likely the problem is what Ford calls the "Flap" it controls the air flow through the vent system when you switch from Heat to AC. When the Flap is working it closes off one systems air flow so as to not interfere with the current climate selection.

1998 ford explorer a/c and heater wont work

You lost the Freon again, because you probably only fill up Freon last winter, you didn’t check the leak and fix it,

You have to check the AC belt, compressor, AC clutch, condenser ( see the small glass window to find out if there is some bubbling, if your Ac has bubbling, you need fill up Freon.
