The low coolant sensor should be located in the passenger side radiator tank, You need to take it out and clean the sludge off of it for it to work right. Or you can just unplug it and forget about it, the light will go out and it won't cause any problems.

The sensor should be easy to find, check it's connection. A Chilton book will have the schematic for your car, and you can track the circuit for the sensor.

Turn off the ignition of car.
Let the engine and radiator cool.
Refill the coolant to the required quantity with the approved type.
Wait until the coolant helps reduce the heat completely.
You should not see the light now.

I have a 2004 Chrysler Sebring convertible. For about a week or two it has been hard to start. Cranking but not turning over. Today, my check engine light came on and the car began to idle really low. ...

code p 0128 refers to coolant thermostat--coolant temp below thermostat regulating temperature ===causes --mechanical fault
replace the thermostat
your problem may be low fuel pressure from a faulty pressure regulator
have the fault codes read professionally as the code you have is not related to your problem

2004 Crossfire just dies (rarely and randomly) when driving or sitting at a light. Check engine light is on; low coolant light is also on... intermittently. Had it checked at a shop; no codes were found...

the coolant light won't cause it to stall more likely to be a crank shaft sensor possibly only way to find out though is to replace it and see what happens sometimes these things don't throw up codes and would need the scan tool to be on the car when it stalls and won't start again the crank sensor cools down then will work again

I just bought a 2003 Toyota Echo and when I start the car up, the blue "low engine coolant" light stays on for about a minute before shutting off. I've added coolant, so I know it is full,...

Make sure there is no air in the system, take the radiator cap off and let the engine idle for half an hour, as the air comes out the coolant will go low, ad more coolant and then close the cap on also make sure the resevour bottle is at its mark.

Low coolant light stays on. Changed sensor. Still comes on. Tech says oil leaking into coolant contaminating sensor. Says this is a common problem with this car. Is this a head gasket problem, and will...

I had a similar problem. Replaced head gasket, but low coolant light stayed on. My problem was air in the system. A flush and fill kit may work, however, I had a local shop do a "flush and fill" and the problem remained. What I did... With vehicle running, and radiator cap off, bring engine to operating temperature. Increase rpms slightly above idle until coolant can be seen moving in radiator (thermostat open). Add small amounts of coolant, keeping the radiator level just below overflow hole in cap area. In my case, after about 15 minutes at slightly above idle rpms, a large pocket of air escaped. I topped off radiator, installed cap, and let engine cool. Problem has not returned in last six months. *Note coolant is VERY HOT, and if rpms fluctuate, coolant will expel quickly from radiator. Also, when the air pocket escaped, coolant also sprays out. Use caution to avoid being burned.

is the security light flashing? If so try turning the key on for ten minutes than try to crank the engine. Try this three times if no start turn the key on for thirty minutes than try cranking the engine. It should turn over if not You may need a new ignition switch. Or key. I need more info after you try this.

1997 GEO Prism engine light is on. Auto Zone says something is going on with my coolant system. Car has been sitting up for a year. Coolant was low so I added some. What would you suggest?

I had the same problem in my Subaru. It was low on coolant and ran just a little hot for a couple of minutes, and the "check engine" light came on.After adding coolant and resetting the light it never came back on.So, try resetting the light by unplugging the positive end from the battery for a few minutes, and then plug it back in.See if it will stay off, if not you may need to change the temperature sensor located near the thermostat on the top of the motor where the top radiator hose runs into the motor.

Ur coolant level sensor might need changing. If not, the circuit associated with the coolant level sensor needs to be inspected
