Where is the front turn signal flasher on a 2009 tacoma

Hi,

Please open the front hood and check for the relay by the headlights. It's good to have the product image with you so that you can use it as a reference to easily identify the relay once you come across it. Using any relevant diagrams in the car's documentation would also be helpful in identifying the relay.

Its part of the hazard flasher switch , or should I say the switch is part of it ! Where is your flasher switch located ? In the radio bezel ? the trim plate around the radio if you don't know what a bezel is . Oh yea , to answer you question , yes turn signals do go through it !

Go to Autozone.com, register for free and enter your vehicle information-year, make, model, & engine size. Vehicle-specific repair guides are available, as well as component locations. It should show where to locate the flasher. Usually on older vehicles, the flasher is by itself under the dash. Newer ones often incorporate the turn signal flasher with the hazard flasher.

All you need is two parts: a NON- DRLDenso 12.8v flasher, Toyota part # 81980-02030, and an M1 signal junction block, Toyota part # 82671-30360.

Follow the disassembly instructions from 007Tacoma's original thread, http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/tec...stall-oem.html , remove the fuse block, and you will just do things in reverse. Disconnect the Y-harness that comes from the large black DRL relay, and connect your NON-DRL flasher and Junction Block to the 2 ports that the Y-harness was attached to- you will find that they only fit one way.

On my 2012, there was a third small connector routed to the large black DRL relay, I think it comes from the E-brake switch. I reconnected that when I reassembled everything, and I also just left the black DRL relay where it was in case I ever want to switch back.

Check the flasher unit, if possible replace it with a new one( original one)

i think you may have replaced the hazard flasher not the turn signal flasher, the turn signal flasher is located behind the dash on the right side of the steering collum support, the hazard flasher is located in the convenience center.

There are two flashers. One for the hazards and one for the turn. Try switching around the flashers
