Need a diagram for front suspension for volvo 960

Check universal joint first.
Check suspension bushes next.
Then check Shock absorbers.

Don, do you have any photos, my dad is tryin to fix my 1996 960 volvo and can't find a diagram or schematic anywhere we found a kit, but my parking break is missing parts so he has no idea where the pieces go!!

you will ned to remove the suspension leg ,then use spring clamps to compress the springs before undoing the retaining nut ,this sort if job can be very dangerous to the unskilled and i would advise you let a garage do it who have the right equipment ,if the spring clamp isnt secure and spring goes ping it can quite easly remove a hand or take your head off .

IF self leveling (gas struts) are faulty,when you come to a stop after driving for about 10 mins,the rear will not have risen to level.(still low).then they will need replacements fitted,they are not that expensive,compared to some air suspension types.(just in case im not clear,the rear pumps itself up AFTER moving off/driving and will settle when stopped for awhile after.)
