If you don't see any clutch fluid reservoir for the clutch, there are two possibilities: clutch master shares fluid reservoir with the brakes or clutch is using cable not hydraulic.

SOURCE: 1998 ford escort clutch

There are 2 master cylinders on the escort, one for brakes, and the other for the clutch. You put the fluid in the master cylinder.

SOURCE: clutch master cylinder

The master cylinder is mounted directly behind the clutch pedal in the fire wall. A push and twist design. If you are intending to remove it don't forget to unplug the sensor(mounted on the rod) first.

Where is the clutch fluid refill located on a 1998 toyota rav4. I found the brake fluid reservoir, but am not seeing a reservoir for clutch fluid. Any help

If you look at the drivers side of the brake fluid reservoir you should see a rubber hose that feeds to the clutch master cylinder. The clutch master cylinder is kept full via the brake fluid reservoir.

I need to adjust my clutch on a 1998 ford zx2

Your vehicle has a hydraulic clutch, and there really is no "adjustment." Verify fluid level in the clutch fluid reservoir, and consider replacing clutch plates if you are experiencing slipping.

Where is the dipstick for checking the brake fluid

The brake fluid reservoir does not use a dipstick for checking levels.

The reservoir is located on the driver side of the vehicle in the engine compartment, directly in front of the firewall and to the left of the strut tower.

It has a black cap on it that will have the fluid type required and a warning about cleaning the cap before removing it. This helps prevent anything from contaminating the fluid. If you see that the reservoir is dirty, cleaning it will reveal the fill line for the fluid level. Fill with the described fluid requirement on the cap.

How I bleed the clutch system on 1995 Ford Escort LX. Where is the liquid canaster located at?

The reservoir is up top next to the brake fluid. Are you sure you have a hydraulic clutch? It might be mechanical, has a long bolt on it for adj. If it doesn't have the reservoir, look underneath for the bolt. Hope this helps.

I just bought 1998 Ford Escort SE and can't find the oil dipstick. Exactly where is it, and is there perhaps a picture or schematic of one so I know where I may have to install one? Thanks much.

The engine oil dipstick is located on the driver's side of the engine. Remove it and wipe the oil off the dipstick and then thread it back into the tube. Remove the dipstick and read the level. It should be between the MAX and MIN lines. Add oil if necessary. The coolant level is checked by visually inspecting the level in the reservoir while the engine is cold. It should be around the "Full Cold" line. Take a look at the coolant because oil mixed in with the antifreeze could signify a leaking head gasket. The brake master cylinder will be located on the driver's side of the firewall behind the strut tower. Pull the lid off and check the fluid level inside. To check the automatic transmission fluid level, first allow the engine to warm up to normal operating temperature, then check the fluid level on the dipstick. ------------

Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Where is the clutch hydraulic reservoir on a 1993 ford escort lx?

The clutch and brake system use the same reservoir, there is a hose coming out from the side of the reservoir that goes over to the clutch master cylinder. Sometimes the brake fluid level goes low as brake pads wear and lowers the fluid level too low to work the clutch. Hope this helps, let me know.

Where do i put my power stearing fluid in my 1998 ford escort

2b9a938.gif

Position the vehicle on level ground. Run the engine until the fluid is at normal operating temperature. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and right several times. Position the wheels in the straight ahead position, then shut off the engine. Check the level in the reservoir; it should be at the FULL mark. If fluid is required, remove the cap and add fluid until it reaches the FULL mark.
