Sounds like a fuse. Are you getting power to the driver door module (control cluster as you say). Below are 3 pictures for you. The first one is the location where the fuse box is located for that fuse (under drivers seat in the rear). The second picture is a diagram or the latout of the fuses. The fuse you want to check is the fuse marked "LT DOORS" or the one marked 02. It should be a 25 amp fuse. The 3rd picture is a wiring diagram for the circuit. If the fuse isn't blown check the power wire from the fuse box to the driver door control module. Sounds like a power issue. Anymore questions or diagrams that you need, feel free to email me at [email protected] and I should have and will send if you need anything else. I hope this helps and good luck.
well you can try "jumping" the correct wire to see if window got up or down... this will tell u if switch is bad... but I would just go but a new master switch... try that before you cause more damage..
sounds like a wiring problem. trace wires. check power at all window switches. by a manual and look at the wiring diagrams find out what should do what when the switch is pushed and test it.
You will need to check all connections in door. Make sure to have a 12 volt test light, remove door panel and check window switch for power if ok go to motor hold test light to the hot wire to motor, use window switch does test light light up if so motor is bad.
Need help with door panel and testing with pin connector locations go to this site you with the diagrams and step by step diagrams .
I am not sure exactly where to get your info for free, but have another solution. The drivers door holds all you need. The door panel needs to be removed and then reconnect the power door lock switch. Then just locking and unlocking the door will trigger the actuator to move, allowing you to find it and the wires connected to it. Disconnect the wires and plug in a Digital Multi-Meter into the plug on the wire end and hit the lock and the unlock buttons to find which polarity to which wire unlocks the door and to lock it would be in reverse. Then he can wire the keyless entry into the truck via these wires and can use wire-taps which will pop over the wires in the truck and allow him to add the keyless entry w/o cutting wires. :D Have fun
