Wow no year car, now that is a challenge , no?
abs is first.
first- first are brakes.
abs stuck on key on and running full time right?
so check brakes for damage or worn out.
brake fluid level not falling? look yet? look when checking oil every time.
abs can not work on cars with bad brakes, (its not god like)
then check for ABS sensor damage and its wires. under car.
then scan the ABS. got errors, sure you do.
but what? you didnt scan it first.
or read the manual> RTM?
its only 4 bucks to read it.
To suggest that ABS is only of use in Flurries(?), snow and ice, or off road demonstrates a complete lack of understanding about the purpose of the system. If you had ever been in a high speed skid, (motorway/autobahn speeds), you'd know both the workings and the value of ABS.To suggest that ABS is only of use in Flurries(?), snow and ice, or off road demonstrates a complete lack of understanding about the purpose of the system. I presume you haven't switched off the ESP or anything on the dashboard? Light might be because there is a fault with ABS, so best take to a garage and get them to read off the fault code

should access the ESP Electronic Control Unit (ECU) memory for pull out
all DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes), using diagnostic equipment
connected to the data link connector of the car. Then you will be full
informed about bad pieces (e.g.: brake pedal switch, front right wheel
abs sensor interrupted, ...). After bad pieces replacement you will be
able to erase all faults memored by ESP ECU, in other words reset the
ESP system and turn off the warning lamp on dashboard.
Check & replace if necessary the brake pedal switch placed above pedals on the support. If
the problem still occurs you should access the ABS & ESP ECU
(Electronic Control Unit) using diagnostic equipment connected to the
data link connector of the car, in order to pull out all DTC (Diagnostic
Trouble Codes) memored. Then you will be able to replace bad
piece(s) and fix the problem by erasing all DTC stocked inside ABS
& ESP ECU, and reset it.
1) try to use the self diagnose. 2) place ignition swtuch in the start position, the lights coming on 3) engine starts, the brake light sould turn off inmediately. the ABS ligth will illuminate for aprox 6 seconds. 4) test drive the vehicle at speed above 20mph for a few minutes. during the test the both test lights should remain off, if any one of the warninign light utron, take note of the condition. 5) stop the vechicle using the braking pressure.both light should remain offf during the stopping procedure. 60 place the gear selector in to PARK, and observe the warning lights, they should both be off. God bless you

ASR - Acceleration Skid Control system. When ASR warning light blinking the system is activated itself for car acceleration skid control. For today's typical high-torque engines, traction control (ASR) can increase both comfort and safety, particularly when driving on slippery roads or surfaces offering differing levels of grip. Traction control permits smooth starting and acceleration through the full speed range without wheel-spin or fishtailing.
ASR only operates in conjunction with the electronic accelerator (E-gas) and uses components of the anti-lock braking system (ABS). If one wheel suddenly begins to rotate faster than the others (slip), ASR intervenes in the engine management system and reduces power until the wheel stops spinning. The ASR system represents a further contribution to active safety as it maintains vehicle traction and directional stability throughout the acceleration phase at any speed. In addition, it reduces tyre wear. Activation of the ASR system is indicated by a flashing indicator lamp in the instrument cluster. The ESP system means the Electronic Stability Program. the stalk should have no interference with the abs or esp set up what i would look at doing is checking your abs sensors they can go all of a flash...goodluck
