Windshield Wipers Inoperative At Low Speed

Windshield wiper motor.
Windshield wiper control module.
Multi-function switch.
Damaged circuitry.

GO to Pinpoint Test C .

Windshield Wipers Inoperative at Interval Setting

Windshield wiper motor .
Damaged windshield wiper control module .
Damaged multi-function switch.
Open in wiring.
Poor ground to windshield wiper control module.

Windshield wipers

Would need to scan vehicle to insure the wiper speeds are controlled by the General Module or a wiper intermittent relay....if relay...would locate and replace...if general module.....a reprogram or software update could be in order...possibly replacement.

did you try to direct your new motor to the battery only?....if you direct its fast that means your rod to the wiper are rusty or dirty try to spray some oil or grease...

I have a 2001 VW golf gti and lately I've been having a real problem with my wipers..They only work on very fast, the slow and intermittent speeds don't work, and neither does the wipers when you spray the...

If it was the relay, they would not work at all. There is a speed control for the wipers that controls the speed and delay (not the switch in the steering wheel), call the dealer to see if it is a separate module or integrated into the motor (if it is the later, you'll need a rebuilt/new unit).

this is most often caused by a defective wiper control switch.Less common is the Body control module is defective.

Wipers stop after 5 minutes of slow or intermiant speed use.

Try replacing the Wiper Motor Pulse Board Module. It is available at aftermarket parts stores, it is easy to replace, and it is a high failure item. Eventually, the module will fail completely and leave you with no wipers.
