ours in USA are in the tank by law. we have no such car here.
you can learn this by yourself and not ask the blind.
1: ask the dealer for the filter, and he answers.
2:read your service manual.
3:try to buy it and see it is not sold, (exact car).
4:go to the car, see the fuel rail,see the fuel lines
going to rear gas tank following it to the tank and behold there is no frame mounted filter,or?
In the USA IT is almost gone there, for 20 years.
2004 is about the last one, external to the tank
Petrol. (gasoline)filters, Diesel laws not the same.

It is located just under the driverside door tucked inside the frame rail.

The fuel filter is located in the fuel tank, pump removal is required to replace. There is an inspection cover behind the front seats on the floor to gain access to the pump. stupid idea. but whats not stupid about kia.

Usual location is above the rear axle underneath the vehicle near the gas tank.

Some of the Sebrings have two filters(one is called a sock).The sock(which all sebrings have) is located in the fuel tank itself on the pump module.If this model is the JXI then the external filter is located on the belly of the car between the tank and drivers rear seat. I hope I could help!!!
