2007 sebring shift solenoid d

Hi there:
DTC P0765 - Shift Solenoid D MalfunctionThe shift solenoid is located inside the valve body, the solenoids are replaced as a pack not individually. see below...

When any electrical solenoid or circuit goes down, the ****** will still have the default gears of reverse, and second gear. You could unplug all the wires from any automatic ******, and you will still have the default, or ''limp in'' gears , to get you home or to the garage. If you have no forward or reverse, then you have a major internal ****** problem.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Unfortunately I believe it is beyond a simple Fluid and Filter change. Once the Fluid is Burned and you get fault codes your going to have to have the transmission rebuilt.

Code po765 on jeep grand cherokee 4.7 the truck runs good.

you can look this obd2 trouble code table, it can help you understand the meaning of code.
and may be problem:
1). Overdrive solenoid failed
2). Open or shorted second solenoid circuit, or loose connector
3). PCM failed

apparently they are throwing parts at it. The circuit is probably bad. try to see if they can go into active commands and command the car to shift gears while on a test drive. If they can't get that brand new shift solenoid to turn off and on when it needs to, it's probably a problem within the circuit going to it.

the PCM rarely fails, so i doubt its that.

2001 Chevrolet impala shifts hard

If you get it checked on the scanner chances are you will have a P1811 set in history. When this code sets it automatically turns pressure in the trans to max causing a hard shift. If your vehicle has low miles I would suggest the valve body and pc solenoid be replaced along with the trans filter.Have the filter changed first and inspect for debris in the pan.If debris is found.REBUILD the trans because if you just replace th solenoid and valve body it WILL happen again and the valve body/solenoid replacement is not cheap.
