The battery light is for the charging system when it comes on when the engine is running it means that the altenator and or the wiring to the regulator rectifier is faulty Until you get them fault found and repaired or replaced the light will still come on or stay on Check the drive belt to the altenator for correct tension

I have a problem with a 2008 Dodge Charger, my battery went bad and I had to jump it off to take it and get a new battery put in but now my new battery won't start my car not even when the new battery...

When you jump started the vehicle, it started as normal and you drove to a shop to have a new battery installed.?? Correct??

1. Who removed the old battery and installed the new one?

2. Did the car start normally immediately after the new battery was fitted? How frequently were you able to drive the car on the new battery before the problem you described appeared?

3. Has anything been done to the vehicle since the new battery was fitted.?

verify voltage and start signal to the starter when the truck won't start or click. most likely the starter solenoid has gone bad and will not engage the starter after the engine has warmed up.

Replace the battery first! That acid will corrode everything it touches. Once the battery is replaced, you can test if the alternator is working properly.
