It's not the fuse. That fuse controls many different things. I would pull the A/C controller. Unplug it and plug it back in. If it comes on, It was corrosion at the plug. If not, I usually tear it down and fix the controller. Your best bet is to replace it, Unless you are into electronics and can solder very small components.

I have a 2005 cavilier..it keeps blowing the main 30amp fuse when the ac is turned on..any help

you need to inspect all AC WIRING, to find the SHORT, thats causing the fuse to blow ! donot put another fuse in until you locate the shorted condition, ( bad connection, frayed wire, bare wire touching metal along this circuit, you might have a bad switch, your ac has two switches under hood, one @ high pressure side and one @ low pressure side. and your main control switch, check all wires & connections

My 2005 ford ranger a/c is not working all the sudden, could it be a fuse?

My AC quit all of a sudden and it was a switch in the ac line. It was located on one of the air conditioner lines almost next to the firewall. Looked like a little box. When the p/u was running and the ac was turned on, I tapped it with a screwdriver handle and the ac compressor came on. I think it was a low pressure switch and is supposed to keep the ac from running without any freon, so you might try that. Best of luck.<!-- from fixya rte -->

2001 town and country van control head does not turn on ac....display lights are on. the back ac works

I have a 2001 Durango and had the same problem, you need a new contol harness, about $50.00 and can be installed yourself if you have some auto knowledge, I a girl and could do it myself. Also ckeck the fuse box under the hood. Could simply be a main fuse.

The battery died i replaced it now the car won't start. its a 2002 626, i was told that there is some chip in the key that needs to be associated with the computer again?

do you have headlights? on accessory, do you have a 'live' dash display? if not- are your battery connections tight? is the + connected to the + terminal and the - to the -? if not, then there may be a blown main fuse! if you have lights, try turning the key from 'off' to 'accessory' 3 times. this may reset your computer. don't forget, when the battery was replaced, your main and secondary computers lost some data and need to re-program. your key may also need to be 're-set', but if you have lights and dash activity, when on 'accessory', then you may need your main computer re-set at a qualified service facility! ah! for the good old days!
good luck!

Display on climate control screen is out and i don't see any type of description on fuse panel that fits this problem. AC, heater, fan, everything else works but the display.

U must remove the climate control unit from the dash and remove the top cover of the unit, u will find a tiny twist in light bulb socket with a tiny little light bulb, this provides the backlight for the AC/heater display, u can buy the bulb at any auto parts store, couple of bucks.

I have a 2001 Ford Windstar. I can start the engine and it runs just fine. However, I have no radio, heat, wipers (all the accessories). They work when you turn your key to accessories, but they dont work...

I think a new ignition switch would avoid the torching of your sick van.
It may not help but try this:
- Make sure you have the radio on in the accessory position, then switch to the 'run' position; you needn't start the car.
Jiggle with (deserved) anger on the key - well, without breaking it, and watch the radio display to see if it will flicker when you do this. If it does, then the switch section that should contact in both Accessories & Run has failed.
Most radios don't instantly turn on but delay a second or two,  therefore the attention to the display.

AC & Temp LED display out

The fuse for the radio/CD/DVD is seperate from the AC/Heat. Open fuse box under hood on right. follow fuse schematic to ac fuse position (note there are two so if not one, then it is the other) use the fuse puller that is in the fuse box, then replace the fuse. Good luck.
