SOURCE: 2001 oldsmobile alero window off track,
first remove the door panel there are three screws that need to be removed first 2 under the inside door handle and 1 on the lower left hand side behind a reflector then pull off the panel it will be held on by push clips, once inside move the plastic weather bearrer to the side ,run the window half way down you should see 2 window holding brackets pull the window up so you can drop it in the brackets, first get some black window adhesive fill the brackets with adhesive put window in brackets and roll it up and leave it up for 24 hrs.If the brackets are broken you will have to replace the whole window motor assemly which you can get on line for 89.00 not the 250.00 at dealer and you can install it yourself its easy to do.

SOURCE: How do you change a serpentine belt on a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero?
Brute force - you have to pry up the tensioner pulley. The way we did it was put the belt over the alternator and A/C compressor, and get it back in place around the main bearing pulley. Then we took a bar and forced up the tensioner and slid the belt over the main bearing pulley. Voila . . .
SOURCE: with a 2001 oldsmobile alero the temperature gauge
If by "shuts off" you mean goes all the way to the cold or no temp, then sounds like the thermostat is open and needs to be replaced. Could also be the temperature sensor and you are losing the signal. I would check to see the actual temperature of the engine to know the difference.
SOURCE: my 2001 oldsmobile alero my heater blows cold no
The first thing that should be checked is the coolant level. All heat is passed into the engine compartment by the cooling system.
