YAEEH (yet another easter egg hunt)
why do you ask. scan it and it has DTC for knock? nah, bet not.
be best to scan it, no?

usa RODEO.
GM V6 engine with their own 3.2-liter 24-valve SOHC V6
LG6 , i think ended in 1992.
or
3.2 L 6VD1/6VD1W V6 (bingo)?

YAEEH
ill toss coin, land on 6vd1

some dont have a knock sensor. the 2.6L does.
the 1998 6vd1 has one, but not 96, in usa.

I even looked at your ECU/CPM schematic,
for the V6, and it shows, no knock sensor,(usa spec car)
The EFI spark system used on your car dictates this.
as knock (KS) controls spark timing, (retards it at knock)
but some versions have no KS sensor.

if fitted its on the block top.
has 1 wire. and screws in on a simple stud .
some are under intake manifold
its just a threaded shallow hole in block,
its only a microphone device.
here is the block a real photo.
some have it , others, dont
and one more fact, it came 92 and went and came.98
facts.

clear? see red circle below?

I need to locate the knock sensor on a 2000 Holden rodeo . It has an Isuzu V6 petrol engine and I believe it is a 3.5 as the 3.2 has the knock sensor under the air intake and this motor does not .

sorry no idea here as this engine i dont see here in spain very often ,most of these sensors are in the block level with the pistons or quite rightly as you stated under the inlet manifold of V engines .could it be yours isnt fitted with one

Where is the knock sensor on my 2004 Isuzu Rodeo?

yet another easter egg hunt 10,000,
and no engine stated, as are most here.
USA car? (canada?)
NO ENGINE DISPLACMENT "SIZE" wow.
first off the old V6 is in the block valley (6vd1) engines.
I bet its not bad,
if you scanned the PCM and no error for knock why ask?

2004 here is 3.5L engine it has only 2 elect pins, (a give away)
has a center hole bolt (block of plastic)
and has 2 knock sensors, that year,
that year had 3.2 liter too, why post lacking DISPLACMENT
and cam counts, 4 cams? 6ve1? engines?> has 2.
the look like below, 2 pins center large bolt hole
most times all KS are on the block somwhere
on the early engine on top valley (intake man pulled.)
later they move them ,putting a KS on a head is crazy
as it must then HEAR valve noises, and caM, (yes its just a microphone) it does hear. knock.
and in 3 dimensions (3D). best place was on top.
but if you put them on the banks then you need 2 for obvious reasons.
it cant be on the pan , nor front or rear of engine leaving
where bank sides, "V" see?
It must hear all cylinders fire, per bank. (rules not too close not to far)

k1-akgy0jmi3zm3dcjo5njpmo5v-3-0.jpg its not here, as seen the old V6

6vd1 (old) knock dead center, now gone from there.
6vd1-knock-akgy0jmi3zm3dcjo5njpmo5v-3-1.jpg

35a-akgy0jmi3zm3dcjo5njpmo5v-3-3.jpg bolted to side of block, both are identical.

1995-96 Isuzu Rodeo transmission swapable?

No they are not compatible. They changed the crank between 95 and 96. I have a 96 that needed an engine swap and the dealer that I bought it from was paying for the engine, he bought a 95 engine and after a month of trying the mechanic said no way no how, the crank between the two is different.

Water pump replacement 96 isuzu rodeo

Remove belt, fan, fan shroud and fan bracket. Remove timing covers, timing belt and water pump. Replace timing belt and the hydraulic tensioner with new ones. I suggest you get a mechanic to do this as you can easly get it out of time. Not an easy job.

WHERE DOES THE KNOCK SENSOR, AND OXYGEN SENSOR GO?

The knock sensor is located on the side of the engine block. And the oxygen sensors are located in the exhaust system. There will be one oxygen sensor (upstream) screwed into either the exhaust manifold or the exhaust pipe before the catalytic converter. The other oxygen sensor (down stream) will be screwed into the exhaust pipe just after the catalytic converter.
