Not for tail lights.
GeT a 12 Volt probe screwdriver with the handle that lights up or volt meter. Remove the bulb turn on tail lights clip to any good ground and put the probe tip on the bump at the bottom of the socket and it should lite up. Now clip ground to side wall of socket and probe both bumps in the center one bump is tail the other is brake. Have someone push on brakes and see if they light when on one bump then check tail on other bump. DO NOT TOUCH THE SIDE WITH CENTER PROB OR IT WILL SHORT BE CAREFUL. this will tell you where the problem is,

Also check fuse holder.
leave fuse in clip to ground turn on tail light and probe both ends of fuse for power.

Hope this helps Mike

2000 Lexus LS400 Instrument panel fuse

It's more likely a fuse is blown, the tail lights are on the same fuse as the dash illumination, check the tail lights if they are not working replace the fuse marked 'tail' in the fuse panel on the inside at the left side of the dash under the cover. At the same time check the 'gauge' fuse', there is a fuse location diagram on the cover.

My brake (running lights) dont turn on only when i step on the brake. nor my licesne plate work nor my gauges lights work. i got new bulbs for my brake light.

First, your instrument panel lights. Make sure to check the knob on the dashboard to the left of the instrument panel which controls
the brightness of the instrument panel lights. Push the knob to get it to pop out. Turn the knob to adjust the brightness.
If that is not the problem, go to your fuse boxes. Check those in the interior fuse box (left kick panel, below the dash--fuse chart on the cover) and those in the engine compartment fuse box (far upper left as you face the car). If, after you replace anything that has blown, it blows again, that would suggest a short somewhere in the system.
If you don't find any blown fuses (and I think you will) then it's time to go to the light bulbs. The tail light bulbs are accessed from inside the trunk. The license plate bulbs are just above the license plate and are accessed by removing two screws that hold the fixture in, then taking off the click plate and removing the bulbs.
Hope this is of some help.

Tail lights don't work on 1998 Chevy Silverado.

check the wiring from the tailights back to the fuse panel, it sounds like an open connection. if i recall correctly check under the dash on the drivers side near the fuse panel for a bunch of wires in a bundle and look carefully for a wire or two that are cut/shorted/or seperated, you can also check under the drivers side kick panel by the hood release.
