Check the oil, make sure it had oil in it.
If they didnt add oil then you could have siezed the engine.
Please get back with your findings on the dipstick, amount of oil, Color, feel.

Replaced motor with new one and now computer wont work nor will car start, checked all wires ?

Make sure ALL grounds are connected and clean. Was motor from same year donor car, or new(used), or new(rebuilt)? Did you have to transfer any/all sensors from old engine? When you do get it started, It will run rough until the computer goes through a relearn period, don't worry. Good luck.

My 2002 a-6 3.0 suddenly started running rough-engine light is on and blinks at 45mph. runs doggedly

Check oil and coolant levels (at the radiator cap) first. Run fault codes to find which sensor triggered the engine light . The light is to tell you that the engine is in danger of failure so do not dismiss the light as not important.. Hot smells mean that the engine is very hot and you may not have any coolant in the system to activate the temp light or gauge.

Rough idle and stalling.did full tune up no change.changed o2 sensor ran like a dream for 2 days then started running rough and stalling again so i changed o2 sensor again and it ran good for 5 minuets...

the engine is emitting more carbon than the exhaust can transfer out befor cloging the o2 sensor
can rebuild the engine. not to confirm this simply pull the o2 back out take brake parts cleaner and spray it let air dry then reinstall and if it does it agine you know the engine needs rebuilt

Hello, I have 1996 Ciera with rebuilt engine pretty new, also fuel filter and fuel pump replaced but I have a problem, the car starts and runs well cold but once car has been running for a few hours, either stopping or coming to a stop it starts to idle roughly and has come to a stop at different occasions. Check engine light does come on and off occasionally. Can you help?

My car will start and run and runs good for a few

Carb is a possibility but that sounds more like o2 sensors, when its cold its fine but once warmed up runs rough. Once the engine is in closed loop operation rough run could be caused by o2's, and engine coolant temp sensor. On those older computerized engines those sensors are the major components to tell the computer what to give the engine for a fuel mixture.

black soot is a running rich condition it's getting to much gas not enough air .. 14-1 ratio air to gas your carb rebuild needs to be rechecked for sticking float..
