My Battery went dead and when I bought a new one the radio is asking for a code. how can I recieve code to reactivate my radio? Serial # OX268191C Model # MR337276

The code for the radio reset comes along with the car manual and could be noted in your instruction manual. So look into the service book to find this out. You can also call up your service dealer who will have it logged on to the car history.
So check this out.

Our vehicles battery went dead so we just replaced the battery on our 2003 ford escape and now the radio, power locks, and clock do not work. What should I check?

If the stereo is a factory stereo, you need to call Ford dealer to get the unlock code, this is common with many different makes. As far as the rest, when a battery is replaced, different makes have certain methods required to "reset" the systems.I do not know why they do it.Is it really going to deter theft, you know what I mean?Anyhow, ask the dealer if that applies to your vehicle too,a reset.Tell them you replaced the battery and all the rest what you told me.
Good luck! Greg

the stereo may have connection with your anti theft device, drive your car to the dealer and they can reset the device for you at a minimal charge. this should resolve these issues. Good luck

I can not find my radio code. My battery went dead last night and now my stereo does not work (Error 5). I am not the original owner and it appears I did not receive the code for the radio. The VIN is...

Thanks for the information. You will need it at some point.

Records for your radio, are at the dealer that the vehicle was purchased.

You should be able to take the vehicle to a dealer for a bypass code but that would be Honda specific if it is available.

Keep in mind as you get it fixed, you can have the code disabled later so you don't have the issue in the future if you desire it.
