EPS- Electronic power steering warning light. is there any steering problems ? Light being on means there probably is a trouble code in the EPS module .

What does eps warning light mean

You have a problem with your engine. Engine Power control System. This is telling you to check your engine. Go to Autozone and have them put a code checker on it and maybe rhey can tell you whar ir needs.

you could read the FSM. its all there.
or at alldata.com
EPS is complex. tech.
but do check fuses.
the light on, has meanings, look it up.
some cars have DTCs for this system. scan it .
use a scan tool. see if there are DTCs stored, or set.
1:check fuses
2: Scan it
3: look for front end damage (road hazard damage)

Why does the car drag when changing gears? the various lights on the dashboard are blinking and it shows EPS

EPS indicates Electronic power steering warning light.---------The power steering needs to be inspected.The power steering pump, the power steering fluid, the power steering hose ,power steering belt and pulley. Get your car scanned by the dealer or at local car garage.That will be much helpful.As you will receive codes, as per codes you can replace the part or get the part checked.A fault in the wiring loop causes it to short on the steering column.This problem is very much noticed in Hyundai cars.-------

EPS: Electronic Power Steering - enables the amount of assistance with steering to be varied depending on speed and how much you turn the wheel. This means it can give lots of boost when parking the car whilst still giving you a good feel for the road at speed.

My eps light comes on steering gets hard. Light goes off when car switched off and on again. Works ok for awhile and then comes back on and repeats problem. Diognostic says short circuit to eps motor. Does...

there may be a short in the motor. I would have it checked out ASAP
