Temp blend door may be stuck. If it also will not go from defrost to AC the mode door may be bad also. Possible linkage or connection issue .

SOURCE: ac will not blow thru ac vents, only thru defrost vents.

if vent doors are operated by vacuum check for loose or broken vacuum hoses in the engine compartment , or check the fuse box for any ac/heat fuses if it is a electricaly controoled system

SOURCE: heating / air conditioning control stuck to front defrost vents

There is a vacuum leak under the hood. Find the vacuum line on the passenger side where it comes through the firewall and follow it to the engine. You system needs vacuum to operate and without it the default setting is on defrost for safety reasons.

SOURCE: 2000 Dodge RAM no HEAT/ New heater core / AC evap.

There is a actuator on the right side of your leg while sitting in the drivers seat under the dash. It has a plastic rod for actuation manually actuate this diverter and should be the problem.

Why would my blower, vent, defrost, ac and heater just quit blowing air?

There are several possible reasons why your blower, vent, defrost, AC, and heater might stop blowing air:

1. Blower Motor Failure: The blower motor is responsible for blowing the air through the vents. If the blower motor fails, you will not get any airflow from the vents.
2. Blower Motor Resistor Failure: The blower motor resistor controls the speed of the blower motor. If the resistor fails, the blower motor may stop working or only work at one speed.
3. Fuse or Relay Failure: A blown fuse or faulty relay in the blower motor circuit can prevent the blower motor from working.
4. Control Module Failure: The HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) control module is responsible for controlling the blower motor and other components. If the control module fails, it can prevent the blower motor from working.
5. Vacuum Leak: If your vehicle uses a vacuum system to control the vents, a vacuum leak can prevent the system from working properly.
6. Broken Blend Door: The blend door controls the direction of the airflow. If the blend door breaks or gets stuck, the air may not flow through the correct vents.
7. Wiring or Connector Issues: Faulty wiring or connectors in the blower motor circuit can prevent the blower motor from working.

My ac/heat only blows through defrosters and not dashboard vents. Could it be the air actuator door?

If you have actuators , yes they can be bad. If you have vacuum pods, they could be lacking vacuum from the engine ports. Check vacuum lines and system. Also the control valve in the dash could be bad.

I have a international 9400i. i cannot change which vent blow air. cannot change to defrost. is there a valve that controls this? if so where is it located?

International 9400 9200 9900 heat box is under the passages side seat. That where the heater core location and the ac evaporator blower. You have two control motors under there one control the bunk for hot and cold. The other control front for hot and cold. Defrost vent and front vent is in the dash. My suck on defrost and in floor will open to front vent. I have not locate yet.

1999 town car blower motor resistor.....maybe?

The Blower Motor Resistor is a common problem in your car but not for the problem you describe. When the Heat/AC won't blow on all speeds, the blower motor resistor is at fault. When air won't blow out of vents, bi-level, or floor the problem is the blend door actuator. This is vacuum driven and diverts the air to where you select. When air will only blow from one place (usually the defrost) then the blend door actuator is the problem. This can sometimes be corrected if there's a vacuum leak (usually under the hood in front of the passenger you'll find the vacuum line and can trace it backward to find a leak). If no leak can be found, the blend door actuator itself is defective and needs replacement.

Defroster & floor blowers don't work but front facing vents do

There are what they call mode door's these days they have a electrical motor that turnes the door to different posistions...sounds like yours is become broken. It would depend on your expertise in the ac & heating system area to replace the part. Sometimes easy and most of the times the dash has to be removed.
