"Warning Lights" on the dashboard of "1995 Nissan Maxima"

Intermittent problem where sometimes weeks will go by without incident then after driving a short distance I park the car and shut it off. Then I'll try to restart it and all of the "Warning Indicator Lights" come on the dashboard of my "1995 Nissan Maxima" and the engine won't respond. I'll leave it sit for a couple of hours or more then it starts like normal.

The warning lights coming on with the key in the on position is normal. If the key is turned to the start position and the engine will not crank over, suspect an internal starter motor problem or lack of power to the starter solenoid. You can try tapping on the starter motor with a blunt object while someone holds the key in the crank position to see if it starts when this problem occurs. If it starts using this procedure, the starter motor will be defective

Sorry, my mistake. This morning I looked again with my glasses on and could clearly see it was not saying "O/O" but rather it was teh " O/D "Over Drive" light and I was able to turn/off by pressing the button located on the side of my floor shift my. Thanks for your time. [email protected] (owner)

I've got a '95 Nissan Maxima, 6 cylinder. I have no dashboard lights. How do I fix this? Is there a fuse? If so, where is it?

Yes there is a fuse, the panal is under the dash on the left side of the steering wheel, fuse is marked, change it even if it looks good.

What is the light on the dashboard on the very far right side...it glows amber and I can read check but I don't know what the symbol is...this is a 1995 nissan maxima...thanks for your help!!

Also known as the dredded "check engine light".
There is a problem with some component or sensor onth eengine. Generally it is emissions related.
Generally, it is ok to continue driving.
Take the car to AutoZone to have the "check engine light code" analyzed (free service). get the "codes" from them and let us know what the code(s) are.
AutoZone can also give you a print-out of the analysis (free). Sometimes you have to ask for it.

Let us know! (post a comment).
