How do i fix my car from bucking occasionally while I'm driving it down the road?

It has done it with the cruise on and off, short jaunts and long trips doesn't matter, and the temperature of the motor doesn't seem matter either

Kristen, Get car checked to see if there are any stored trouble codes. Have you had a complete tune up recently, may be time, including fuel injection cleaning.
The list for this issue is extensive, I will post links for you to check out.

While driving my Jeep will suddenly jerk and lose power for a few seconds then everything is fine. I was thinking some kind of sensor. Any ideas?

If everything is okay before and after each icidence I would suspect a fuel supply problem. Are filter and pipes all clear of detritus? Does it happen in corners, whilst accelerating or decelerating? Does it happen whilst cruising? When engine is hot or cold. Which engine do you have. Please add detail and resubmit the query

While driving 2006 impala down the road, car tries to stall lights interior and exterior flash, but car never stalls and regains power immediately?

You have a power wire rubbing the chassis somewhere in the harness that when it slightly touches metal the voltage drops and causes the flickering and will make the computer act up. Finding exactly where the short is occurring will be a tedious and time consuming inspection of the wiring.

Mazda tribute 2001 Battery goes flat occasionally with lights left on for about ten Minute. Battery has been checked all ok. Also Cruise control engages but nil op. A fuse will also blow about every 2...

Yes a short somewhere But where?
A battery should hold lights on for a while and not go flat but then what size battery have you got and how much dose it charge when driving as it should hold 12 volts and when running it should charge at 13.5 volts no more ,,,But a short in the lights weather Head/or/Parking lights would burn out the wire ,blow fuse every time you turn on lights.....

2003 Bonneville SSEI

I am having the same problem and also occasionally the cruise just shuts off when I am driving on dry, straight roads. Code C1288 was cleared, but it continues to happen. I was told that the electric brake module needs to be reprogrammed and that it will cost about $80.00. They are still looking into it.

Bucking in 4 wheel drive high while slowing down and shifting to

If you're on dry road and it bucks when slowing down, if you are turning, that's normal. If you are going in a straight line, you need a front end alignment.

2002 X-type Jaguar with 2.6 -- check engine light came on

My 2002 x-type did the exact same thing on many occasions and had many repeated trips to the dealership. This problem was ultimately cased by cracked hoses in the car's vacuum system (which is used in the cruise control and brakes). Have the dealer check the vacuum lines and the breather hose (mine had completely collapsed). Chances are they are leaking and causing your car to "buck" and the cruise to not work. Don't ignore this as it will affect the functionality of your brakes too over the longer term.
