If they both went out at the same time, I would believe it's a connection problem. But, bulbs due have a limited life span, so it is not unlikely they can both go out within the same time. Take the bulbs out and check them carefully.

Main beam lights not working

It's possible the "main" lights elements have burnt out.
I believe it's a single bulb per side with both high and low beam elements inside.
Try replacing a bulb and see what that does.

I own a 1995 honda odyssey minivan and the drivers front head light is not working because of the wire connection? what do i do to fix this problem because I got stop for having only one headlight? thank...

hello annette from uk you think it may be connection ?? is head light not working on dipped beam? but high beam ok ? if so it may well be the low beam element in h/light bulb has blown however you could also check the fuse as each side head and sidelights have their own fuse check handbook for position of fusein box if ok then you can try the other head light bulb from other side into the plug connector of drivers side and if this works on high+low beams ? your old bulb is blown feel sure you can do these checks !? approx price of new bulb in uk £4 -50 but carry out above checks !st b 4 you buy bulb ? if it is a bad connection on plug ? another bulb will have same problem hope you understand all above ? and wish you good luck from n/west uk

Low beam headlights do not work, but high beam headlights do

Clyde,

I've been troubleshooting this same problem on a different vehicle this week, and I can give you the steps I'd take.

1. If both sides went out at the same time, the problem is *NOT* likely to be the bulbs.

2. Check the fuses to see if both low beam lights are on the same fuse. Many cars have one fuse for low beam and another for high beam, so both lights out at the same time typically means fuse blown.

3. If the headlights are OK and the fuses are OK, then the problem is *LIKELY* the headlight switch. In my case, AutoZone has one and it can be installed easily; but in your case, that may not be as simple.

Please post your findings or comments.
