Remote lock and unlock stopped working.Changed bat. no luck. tried to reset no luck.I have two remotes and niether one works. They have worked fine up till now. Can u help. Thanks.

I'm not 100% on this one but 99.9% sounds like the body control module was reset. The car would have to be brought to the dealer to SYNCH the BCM & security system. Possibly just SYNCH just

Car security system may have to be reset after disconnecting the battery. Check this out with VW dealer.

some time the buttons on the remote get worn out and it will light up but it wont unlock or lock. you can just buy a new case and switch the piece inside. If you have another remote try to see if that one works if it does then the remote case is your problem

are you sure the battery is good in the remote? if so try putting the key in the driver door lock and locking and unlocking the doors three times in a row. if this dosent work i suggest taking it to an experienced lexus shop.

I have a 2000 ford Taurus and my keyless remote has stopped working and having problems with key unlocking the door from outside, none of the remote work do u have any idea what my problem could be ?

it could be that he locked the car with the key and activated the car alarm try unlocking it with the remote and see if that works

SOME OF THE REMOTES REQUIRE THAT THE KEY BE IN THE IGNITION, IN THE ON POSITION. TAKE THE BATTERY OUT AND WAIT 10 MINUTES. THEN PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND INSTALL THE BATTERY WHILE THE KEY IS TURNED TO THE ON POSITION. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. sometimes you have to hold the lock and unlock at the same time and stand close to your jeep until the locks unlock and lock agian if that works then they are reset if not than try to change the batterys in one remote and retry

Hey, this might work.....get in truck, close doors, put key in ignition in lock position.....hold down the door lock button on driver side door control and wait for the lock control to be displayed on the information screen(odometer read-out).....it should say like lock 1, lock 2, lock 3, lock 4.....or something, I always reset mine to LOCK 1, to do this hold the odometer reset button on dash for a sec or two til it changes settings, then release, repeat till you get to LOCK 1, then quickly press and release odometer reset button to exit program, this is the function to lock doors over 15 mph and when out of park and to unlock doors when returned to park......yours' might be set to another function number....try it out, let me know if this helps.........good luck!

there are 3 possibilities that I would check first. 1: make sure the contacts on the door, and body where the touch are clean. the lock and unlock signal are sent through these. 2: You may try replacing the battery in your key fob. 3: the power lock motors may have gone bad. To check, lock the doors with the drivers door panel, if they lock, they are fine. Another solution may be to recode your key fob. procedure for coding the fob to your vehicle can be found online.
