Set timing 383 dodge 1969 superbee

Set timing at 650 RPM in Nuetral, if it is a manual transmission set to 0/TDC, if automatic set to 5 degrees BTDC, ignition points should be set at .017" with a quality feeler gauge and final dwell is 33 degrees, remember correct point gap is essential to get the timing correct. If you experience "PING" ****** timing 2 degrees.

The actual proper level of refrigerant is determined based on the ambient air around the outside of the vehicle, when and where it is being tested and or serviced.

Essentially the low side PSI should be around 35. As this is the mid range for an average of 70 degree weather. That can include 65 degree upwards to 75 degrees.

In order to properly answer your question, or be more specific. One would need to know the air temperature of the environment surrounding the vehicle.

Most cannisters of refrigerant include a template guide and directions on the back to enable you to adjust the PSI Properly

Such as knowing how taking an accurate reading of the PSI can only be established if the compressor's clutch is engaged and the system is set and operating,

What are the torque settings for the head bolts on a 1999 ford taurus 3.0L.

This is the factory torque adjustment procedure for a 3.0L, also i post you the bolts tightening sequence. i hope that this could help you

  1. Tighten in five steps (refer to illustration in Cylinder Head Installation for tightening sequence):
    • Tighten in sequence to 47-53 Nm (35-39 Lb-Ft)
    • Then back off all bolts 360 degrees
    • Tighten in sequence to 27-33 Nm (20-24 Lb-Ft)
    • Rotate 85-95 degrees
    • Rotate an additional 85-95 degrees.
  2. Tighten in two steps:
    • 20-30 Nm (15-22 Lb-Ft)
    • 26-32 Nm (20-23 Lb-Ft)
  3. Advance 3/4 to 1 turn after gasket contacts sealing surface or tighten to 13-15 Nm (10-11 Lb-Ft).
  4. Tighten in two steps:
    • 7-15 Nm (6-11 Lb-Ft)
    • 26-38 Nm (20-28 Lb-Ft)
  5. Refer to illustration in the Cylinder Head Installation procedure for tightening sequence.

The heater only works at the maximum setting (90 degrees). At the minimum setting 74 degrees I only get cool air blowing.

It is the aspirator above the driver door in the cab. Looks like a tiny speaker. It samples the in cab air temp and adjusts the actuators according to the temperature it's reading.

  1. Install the main bearing cap bolts and the cross-mounted main bearing cap bolts.
  1. Tighten all of the main bearing cap bolts in two stages.

    Stage 1: Tighten the vertical fasteners 1 through 10 to 37-43 Nm (27-32 lb/ft). Rotate fasteners 1 through 10, 85-95 degrees.

    Stage 2: Tighten the cross-mounted fasteners 11 through 20 to 27-33 Nm (20-24 lb/ft). Rotate fasteners 11 through 20, 85-95 degrees.

Alternator

There are 2 bolts that hold the alternator in position. One bolt is near the top of the alternator, the other is near the bottom. The bottom bolt threads through the end of the ADJUSTMENT bolt (which is at a 90 degree angle to this mounting bolt, and faces threaded end w/ adjustment nut to alternator). Loosen 2 mounting bolts, adjust tension at adjustment nut (near alternator), tighten 2 mounting bolts (upper bolt 33 ft lbs, Lower mounting bolt 18 ft lbs). countrycurt0
