If you are looking at the engine the # 5 cylinder is in the middle of the front/side of the engine and cylinder #'s 1 and 3 are on the back of the engine on each end. The firing order is 123456, 123 are in the back by the firewall and 456 are in the front of the engine. Hope that this information was helpful

Therefore if you need an inexpensive engine repair manuel for your 2002 MPV, get the Haynes ($20.00) 2001-2007 Escape/Tribute manuel. Mazda sells the a MPV shop manuel for $180.00.
