I have a 05 dodge neon. Its in limp mode. Won't shift into over drive. I replaced the shift solenoid and bother the input and out put speed sensors and still in limp mode
Unfortunately, you should have gotten the diagnostic codes for the transmission before messing with the shift solenoid. Most of those dodge shift issues are caused by input and output speed sensors.
SOURCE: limp mode?
It may have a "loss of prime" code that usually follows a service of the fluid and filter. After you're sure the fluid is full at operating temperature, disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reconnect to see if the code resets. I hope this helps.

sounds like to prndl switch may be malfunctioning.
gear selector switch, which tells the transmission which gear it is in.
