Absolutely! There's a fuse that controls every light on your truck. Some share the same circuit, some don't. Consult your manual. If you don't have one, get one - you will need it repeatedly.

SOURCE: same problem: door ajar light was on, dome light

Check fuse 23, 27 and 33 inside the vehicle. Chances are you blew a fuse when the dome lamp shorted. The modules should be okay.

SOURCE: Map light fuse on 2008 f 350????

The interior map lamps are powered buy the battery saver relay ( non serviceable relay ) Which is powered by Fuse #25 ( cab fuse panel ).
This is for the engine compartment and illuminated vanity lamps, as well as the map lights.

The FET ( Field-Effect Transistor ) shows the fuse #9 also on it. ( marked interior lighting ), which power the interior lamps ( door / switch ).

Could be a few things if both those fuses are OK.

1. The map / interior lamp combos are usually dual element bulbs, which means if the interior lamps ( door or dimer switch on headlamp panel ) are OK, it could still be a burn out bulb.

2. The FET is having an issue from a dead short ( blown bulb or dead short to ground ). Until the short is correct, the FET will not turn back on.

Start with checking Fuse #9 ( marked as Fuse #8 in the diagram, but that shows headlamp ), which is to the interior lamps, and drives 1 side of the FET.

Testimonial: "Right on the money!!! I was in fact fuse #25. That you so much for this, I would have had to pull each one down the line. This saved me a ton of time!"

SOURCE: Map lights

Just wondering if you ever found a solution to this problem. I have a similarly equipped 01 SuperCrew and the Map lights do not work independently. All come on when the door is opened and all work via dome light switch on dash, but none will come on when I try to switch them independantly. Everything else works fine. I suspect a bad relay, but all relays are the same part number and I have swapped places with no change in results.

2005 nissan titan dome light barely lights up i went to led bulb it didnt help its like i dont have enough power. i just bought the truck recently

Hi. Your dome light symptoms could be due to a faulty connection. I recommend starting at the fuse box then at the light fixture itself. More than likely the light fixture is worn out. But it is important to investigate first. If you run an old "Bulb Style" test light from the battery, to the light fixture. You can test the connections. Probe the bulb contacts first. Clamp the test light to ground to test for power then clamp to power to test for ground. Run this test both at the bulb connections and at the plug on the backside of the dome light fixture. If the lamp on the test light is bright at the plug but dim at the bulb connections. Then the fixture is no good. Look for overheating, corrosion and frayed wires. Good luck.

How to remove the whole head lamp from honda pilot

The Honda Pilot is a mid-d sport utility vehicle introduced in 2003. The 2005 modelcame in three different types: the LX, EX and EX-L. In the center of theinterior roof is a dome light, or map light. All you need is a screwdriver to complete the job. Once removed, you can add new electronics to the Pilot'sroof.

1. Turn off the dome light and the car's engine. 2. Insert a flat headscrewdriver into the edge of the map light plastic cover. 3. Pry the cover off until itpops out of place. 4. Locate the two screws on theinside of the light mount and remove them with the screwdriver. 5. Remove the plastic domelight fixture to access the connector attached to the bulb. 6. Detach the connector fromthe dome light bulb. The dome light fixture can now be removed.
Hope this is what you are searching..

95 f150 inside ligths stad on tok + cable off battery took fuse out to cut the ligths next day the over drive ligth starter flashing HELP

Im not sure if this is going to be your problem but on f150s 250s 350s rangers and explorers, have very weak door switches that are used to tell the dome light to go out, when it fails the dome light does not go out if you have left the fuse out for the dome light there will be other problems, on most models the fuse that the dome light is on also controls the odometer, windsheild wipers and the electronic shift for the overdrive, generally a quick fix for the problem is to remove the bulb for the dome lamp, and insure the fuse is in properly, if you have map lamps in your vehicle these should still work, the only issue is you will not have a dome lamp when you open the doors only the map lamps youll have to turn on manually, If this does not fix the error with the overdrive most likely have shorted door switches throwing the circuit for a loop

I need to change my headlight fixture

put the hood up and look through the small holes in the plastic cover that runs over top of the headlight assemblies and radiator. There is 2 metal tabs holding each light fixture. They dont need to come all the way out just pull them up about an inch. This releases the entire light fixture to pull straight out

2004 Lincoln LS - Dome lights stay on

The dome light usually is controlled by the light switch. When you turn the switch all the way to one side it will turn on the light. It is not on the autolamp system.

There is also a manual control on some of the overhead lights for map reading. These are push switches on the sides of the lights or even the clear cover.

One of your doorjam switches is shorted if you can not turn the light off any other way.

Finally, take a heavy rag and use it to remove the bulb from the fixture after you remove the cover. The cover usually squeezes smaller and the tabs will release from the fixture.

How to open the dome light

There is a plastic tab on 2 sides of the clear (opaque) plastic cover. the cover should be squeezed in towards the center of the light, which will allow the plastic tabs to release from the light fixture so u can remove the cover. Squeeze again to re-install. If you have trouble removing this way, very gently insert small flat screwdriver at outside center of lens, pry gently in to see and release tab.
