Check engine light flashes sometimes and runs rough

I have a 2002 Passat Wagon, V6 with 65000 miles. I get the codes P300, P301, P306, P351. I changed plugs, this solved the problem for 200 miles. I put new plug wires and new coil pack, did not fix. Put old wires and coil pack back on, car ran OK for short period of time. I am now looking for vacuum line leak. Please help.

A flashing check engine light is a critical indicator. That usually means that something went wrong that will damage the emission control system... and that is usually an ignition issue. First off, the OEM plug your car calls for is an NGK irridium... NOT BOSCH and not anything with more than 1 prong. Those NGKs are like 2 bucks and they are the proper plug. Make sure you have these plugs and make sure they are gapped to .028. Next, my suggestion is put all the new stuff on again. Drive it to autozone and have them delete all the codes. Drive it around until the check engine light comes on again, then immediately go back and read the codes. The ECU is smart enough to know which cylinder is misfiring. On these cars, I think they have three banks of two... meaning one "coil" inside the coil pack operates two of the cylinders. So if you get multiple misfires, it's the coil. If you get one misfire it's probably an individual plug wire or plug. Good luck.

Mercury grand marquis p0351 p0301 p0305 p0306 codes

po301,305 and 306 codes are cylinder misfire codes and the most common problems for them codes are bad coil packs on them engines.
I would suggest pulling them coil packs and inspecting them very closely for any signs of cracks, build up on the metals and inspect the boots for any signs of white tracking! White tracking is a sign that the boots are failing and allowing fire/spark to jump.
Anytime I replace the spark plugs, I always replace the boots! They are very inexpensive and they too fail often!
Hope this helps.

How to fix 2002 BMW M3 service code 11360212. The code says solenoid valve for camshaft adjusting unit Permanent failure. What part needs to be replaced or repaired?

the problem will be in the unit that is attached to the end of the cam shaft that is driven by the timing belt/chain. It is hydraulically controlled by a solenoid that gets the signal from the ECM. Replacement of the unit by an accredited specialist will be the fix.
The unit changes the valve timing by advancing or retarding the cam shaft in accordance to engine RPM

P300 code on a 1998 toyota camry LE V-6

I would get a compression test done. The car should still run at idle with a coil or 2 disconnected, perhaps rough but should still run. I don't want to get ahead of myself but I am thinking head gasket issues.

P300 p301

I believe the p300 and p301 codes are emission control codes. Rough idle? Usually changing some emission parts will help. Especially if you have to pass air quality. So i recommend changing the PCV valve. If your car has a lot of miles, you should change EGR valve O2 sensor. These items can be pricey. Your cars computer will adjust itself for these conditions. Eventually, the car will just run poorly though. After you fix it,the codes can be erased at your dealer.

Do you know how to test electrical circuits ? Is the PCM - engine computer controlling the coils ? Test with a test light ! One side has B+ voltage the dark green with orange stripe wire ,the other goes to the PCM , which will suppy a ground when triggered . You can test this with a test light . or you can buy a noid light at the parts store . If you replaced the coil an spark plug an that code comes back ,could have a burnt driver inside the computer , test it first !

2001 passat has loss of power, shaking and check engine light flashing

i had this problem on my 2002 passat. it was the ignition coils. first set were replaced in 2002 as a vw recall. second set (at 122K miles) were relatively inexpensive to fix. just one failed but it made the engine run really rough - my mechanic was able to move it from one cylinder to the next to get the problem to repeat.
