Check the coolant level in the radiator with the vehicle cold, if you remove the radiator cap with it hot you could get burned badly. Just checking the catch bottle won't tell you if the radiator is full or not. If it is down, fill it with 50% solution of coolant and partly fill the plastic catch bottle. Then check it again after it has run and cooled again until the radiator level stays topped.
If the coolant level is down, you may have a leak; check for leaking coolant when it is warm and engine off. If it goes through lots of coolant and/or if it looks like brown mayonnaise in the radiator or oil filler, you may have a blown head gasket.
The engine being too hot could easily cause the hesitation but so could a bad head gasket.
Then that guess was not it, there are 2999 more parts to guess.
joking.... but is true. (guessing)
why not post the symptoms and ask for help.
ok, misfire or hesitation, which is it, it cant drive it to tell.
I misfire is violent. a hesitation or really a mini bog is smooth loss of power but catches up fast.
misfire is just that , a cylinder goes dead fore 1/10 second or longer.
the if its is misfiring a scan tool connected to the OBD2 port (all answers by me are USA< unless you fess up that)
you will see code DTC error P0300 or P030x (x = cylinder that failed)
so do a tuneup, (spark parts first) then filters. do the 60,000 mile list.
at least.
if no misfire and is just hesitation?
does it do it hot and cold engine or both
if only hot then does it catch up, if yes, the TPS is bad.
if not, a bad mAF or MAP, sensor or dirty.
to get best help ,say exactly when it hesitates and under what conditions, hot or cold engine, and what is your right foot doing.
sure its moving but how far an for how long and deep .
eg
does it hesitate hills to and at wide open throttle,
and at any speed, or level of road?
Could you explain this a little better ,
hesitates at tip in after you first start it when warm > hesitates at tip in ???? plus after first you first start it when warm . What's warm ? the engine ? The temperature out side ? Or after you had it running an shut it off an restart the vehicle ? The engine temp. is warm , hot etc.... cooling fans working , vapor lock ?
it sounds like the torque convertor has a siezed stator or a problem inside the gearbox unless you have a engine ignition problem then it will give that problem when under load if its a gas engine check the plugs leads etc
sticky thermostat ,as for the hesitancy ?? need to have it on the test machine because it could be anything from a coil pasck to a weak fuel pump and all the sensors inbetween
you fouled some plugs or ran hot to much and head gasket are cylinders next to rach other or other sides let me know we can do this tell fix ya bout me ok
