1995 thunderbird LX the hazard flashers work on the drivers side only. The turn signals don't work at all. Multifunction switch? I am a mechanic but I don't have a wiring diagram.

Lets start at the beginning. The turn signals and brake lights use different fuses but both go thru the turn signal switch and use the same bulbs. Have you checked the fuses for each circuit and does each switch have power in and out ?
Sure. The hazards and turn signals each have a flasher. They are different, both look like a small relay. You may have to get the turn signal flasher from Ford. You may want to check with them to see what the part looks like to make sure you are working on the right one. They are generally under the dash on the driver side.
you don`t say but do the lights work either on the front/back on both sides.if not then it may be a fuse that needs replacing or need a bulb replacement.if the lights work but don`t flash then it sounds like a signal flasher problem.the flasher is located in the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side.if the hazard flashers work then turn them on to find the hazard flasher by the fuse panel then you will know what the signal flasher looks like and change the signal flasher.make sure you change the one for the signals and not the hazard one.if the hazards work then i would say the signal switch is good as the hazards work through the same switch.
There are two possibilities:--
1) The flasher relay or 2) The turn signal switch. check flasher relay, but most likely the fault is the turn signal switch .----------The turn signal / hazard flasher relay is located behind the dash, right of the steering column. --------Since the hazards do work this eliminates a faulty relay as both the hazards and turn signals use the same relay to function. This leads to either faulty wiring at the multifunction (turn signal) switch or a faulty switch itself. It is always a good idea to check the wiring before purchasing the switch.Starting at the switch its the lever. And the switch wiring gets connected to relay.Test it with a meter to see if it is getting power when it is supposed to (turned ON ). If it is then wiring is OK and switch is bad. If it's not getting power then there is a open circuit somewhere in between.so its the wiring problem.------------this will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
The flasher relay is mounted in the main fuse panel under the dash, driver's side. Are the lights coming on at all, or is there nothing ? it is possible that you may have a bad ground wire to the signals. Do the emergency hazards work ( lighting up and flashing?)If so, then your ground is good and it could very well be the flasher. You should be able to switch the emergency flasher for the turn flasher for a test of the circuit. The flashers should be mounted side by side in the fuse panel - just exchange them and test. If so, keep the emergency flasher there and take the turn flasher in to replace. The parameters should be the same so you can just leave the E. flasher relay in place and out the turn flasher where the E. flasher was.
If the lights come on but just do not flash, replace the flasher relay. Your Thunderbird has 2 flasher relays. One for the Turn signals and one for the Hazard lights. The turn signal relay is located Front seating area, driver side, under dash, driver side of steering column, mounted in lower corner of fuse block . The hazard relay is located Front seating area, driver side, under dash, driver side of steering column, mounted in rear of fuse block. Replace the one for the Turn Signals.Information Curtorsey Auto Zone.
